The Friends of Hob Moor

Hob Moor is one of the ancient commons of York. Friends of Hob Moor was set up in 1999 with the following objectives:

  • To work in collaboration with others to promote the conservation, protection and improvement of the natural environment of Hob Moor.
  • To promote Hob Moor as an open space amenity for education, recreation and leisure time occupation.
  • To promote research into the history and ecology of Hob Moor.

Membership of Friends of Hob Moor costs only £2 per year. As a member you will receive newsletters, be invited to the various walks and talks that the group arranges, and receive emails about Hob Moor related issues. In addition, you will be adding your support to the group's activities to care for and maintain this wonderful area of natural beauty.
