This page contains a few images of Hungate Community Tust archaeology volunteers at work on the area around Haver Lane in Hungate.

Our first day on site 20th March 2007. It snowed.

Haver Lane in the 1930s. The section of road that we are clearing in the picture above is about six feet nearer the camera than the man standing on the pavement.

York Archaeological Trust have created an interesting 'now and then' animation blending the image of Haver Lane above and a picture of YAT archaeologists working on Haver Lane earlier this year. Click here to take a look.
