Poppleton History Society

 

Poppleton History Society was established in 1989 to encourage local residents to develop interests in the history of their community and to record it. The Society carries this out both orally on tape and in publications, and by collecting photgraphs reflecting the history of the village and its residents. Members work collectively on projects. Each year the society arranges a programme of talks on a wide range of topics. New members are always welcome to help with projects and to enjoy talks from a wide range of guest speakers.
